consistently broken

those self serving mandates

the Benjamin has spoken

i am a child

with nothing to yearn

the reaper surrounds

quietly filling his urn

the adults all may posture

from across all the lands

many lives are destroyed

yet on plays the band

i am a child

perhaps someday a bird

has god truly spoken

i’m awaiting his word
