Form & Function

  Form and Function

There are lustful glances across a crowded park that can awaken hidden libidinous passions.

And there are prideful scratches of approval from a loved one after the completion of a job well done.

The only look he shares with me (and quite often!) is the one that quietly but knowingly declares – “I need to move my bowels!!l “Now!”

How special and benevolent that no matter who else may be running the neighborhood at any given moment – that unique and piercing (unspoken) gesture is reserved for me – and my eyes only. He wants me! He needs my approval!

I often sense I witness his inner glee and satisfaction in showcasing his dexterity and impeccable squatting technique. It is undoubtedly a beautiful ballet of form and function.

He is more than my bestie. I am his and he is mine.

Today we run.

Tomorrow is forever.
